Studio Test 2

My cousin and his wife came up with their little girl to play and we got these shots. They turned out cute, but I definately need more lights and I think I want hot lights, so I don't have to worry about the flash recycle time. More research and testing I suppose.

More Recent Design Samples

I have yet to learn web design, so I have uploaded some more current samples here:

I'll try to update that occasionally and be better at the blog.

Helping out for Breast Cancer!

I finished the poster for the motorcycle auction and I really like it.

I also created a mini portfolio with samples for display at the auction and donated 2 free sittings with portrait packages, and 2 10x10 designer gallery prints.

The auction is tomorrow. I hope they meet their goal of $9000. It seems they had lots of support and I imagine they will far exceed it.

A Studio in Progress :)

I finally ordered some studio equipment. I've been wanting to for a long time, but I don't really have anywhere to put it all. Pam agreed that I could setup in her loft if I pay her when I shoot. Now being 6 1/2 months pregnant, in school, mother of 3 and having over 3 feet of snow and a hubby working nights and sleeping in the day, I decided the time was here that I just do it. I recieved my things on Tuesday and finally set them up today and Teylor was being cute to let me test it out. Space is limited and I need to rearrange a bit. I only got to take a few shots, but it got me very excited! I hope we can now do our family pics soon as well. Here's my first attempt!

Wedding Day-Karissa & Eric

They were married September 8th in SLC. It was a beautiful. I'd been sick for several weeks and pulled a 13 hour day of running to do their wedding. I crashed hard the next day. I've been feeling lots better the past month or so and getting stuff done.

This was my first wedding and I'm very happy with how they turned out, but I'll definately have an assistant when I do another - especially if I'm pregnant.

Their pics are done and I am awaiting delivery of their wedding coffee table book. I'm really excited to see it. I can't believe I haven't posted any pics for the wedding yet, so here's one for now. This was their 16x20.

Having a Baby!

We're having a baby! I'm about 3 months pregnant and I've been pretty sick. I haven't been doing much of anything. I'm focused on survival (eat/sleep), caring for my kids and not failing my university courses. I haven't had much time for photo stuff. I did shoot Karissa & Eric's wedding on Sept. 8th and I'll be sure to post some pics when I finally get through them. Thanks for your patience.

I crashed hard after a 13 hour day of the wedding. I don't imagine I'll be doing anything that large while I'm pregnant, or at least while i'm sick. Perhaps when I get to the point of feeling great and have an assistant, I'll be up for another wedding. As for now, I'll stick with 1-2 hours at a time for portraits & of course, invites & design stuff.
